Today room 14 watched an episode of behind the news. There was a lot of stories but I liked the one about free t.v. On the BTN episode they were talking about if pay t.v is better than free to air t.v and if free t.v should not be aloud instead of pay t.v. The argument was about if sport will only be shown on pay t.v instead of free to air t.v. I would disagree about having sport only shown on pay t.v because what if you can't afford it, then you can't watch t.v with your mates or family members. I think that if you had the money it would be ok to have pay t.v but if you cant afford it then you can't watch the sports you want on free to air t.v. I think that free to air t.v should be aloud and not only just be pay t.v!

Today our class watched an episode of behind the news. I enjoyed the story about the commonwealth games. I found out that the commonwealth games only include certain countrys such as Australia, India plus more. These countrys are owned by England. England soon named some of the countrys as a Commenwealth countrys. So every 4 years all the Commonwealth countrys get together and compete against each other wich is known as the Commonwealth Games. This year the Commonwealth games are held in India. India is a country that has alot of terrorism. Terrorism is when innocent people get shot and other things like that. Sadly, already a couple Australians have been killed because of this.

Today was the big day for the districs basketball. It was held at our school, on the basketball courts. There were 4 schools including ours. For the first game Ranfurly girls did not play, but the boys did. I think they won the first game and lost all the rest. After their game it was Ranfurly girls V.S Mildura girls. Unfortunately our team, Ranfurly, did not win ): . Then, our second game was against West. They where the best team on court. So we did not win that game either. Our 3rd and finall game was against Sacred Heart. It was another unlucky game for us because we lost that game as well. For the team I shot 3 goals. I felt very proud of myself and I was also very tired at the end of the day. It was an unlucky day for us because we lost all our games and also didnt get into the finals. But Mildura West and Mildura Central got in for the girls and the boys.
After basketball had finished I went back to class and had lunch. At lunch I just sat around with Sezen. After lunch Miss Tonkin read us our class serial, A Small Free Kiss In The Dark. It has been a great book so far. In some bits of the story I have understood the book good, but in other parts it a bit hard to understand.
I have had a great day playing basketball and having lunch. I also liked going outside with our net book and reading the book. I have had a great day!! (:

Today I woke up at 7.30 am. I straightened my hair and then put it back into a pony tail. Then I had break-fast. For break-fast I had toast with ham on it. Mum took us to school at around 8.30am. When I arrived at school I went to me class and said good morning to Miss Tonkin. The class started off with math.

The Pakistan cricket team have been cheating by telling people to bet money on the other team to win. By doing that, they have made alot of money by loosing deliberately.
2. What is a no ball? A no ball is when the bowler step over the line and the batters get an extra point.
3. What is match-fixing? It is when a team bets on money to say that they are going to looser deliberately to the other team.
4. Why do some people fix matches? So that they can get more money than they already have.
5. Micro-betting is.. betting on small amounts of money.
6. What do you think should happen to people who fix matches? I think that they should be fined a certain amount of money. I think it should not be allowed.

My favourite book series is called Animorphs. I like this book because it makes me think. Animorphs has good detail and is the right piece of text for me. I also think it is a good book for me because the characters are around my age. I like this book because it is very interesting and makes me wonder a bit everytime I stop reading.
There are 5 main characters, Jake, Marco, Tobias, Cassie and Rachael. My favourite character is Jake because he is always concerned about others. Jake is a caring character and always puts others first. Jake is a real leader and gets the team ANIMORPHS through tough decitions.
The series Animporphs is about these young kids that went into a construction site. In the construction site they saw something that was like a space ship. Inside the spaceship was an Andilite. The Andilite warned the kids that there are other evil aliens called Yeerks. The yeerks are the baddies and the Andilites are the goodies. The Andilite told the kids that they will be given the power to morph. (change into an animal) So these Kids have got the power to morph and save the world from being taken over by the yeerks. The kids have to be very carful when morphing because they have a time limit of 2 hours maximum. When I am reading the series Animorphs, I always wish I had the power to morph. I am hoping that I will finish the series animorphs sometime next year and be very proud of myself.
Today we started the day by having Library. On my way to Library I went to the staff room and dropped my bank book off. I burrowed 6 books. I burrowerd animorphs #4, Quirky tails, Toy Story 3 search it, I spy, unreal and sandcastle competion. After Library we went back into the class and continued on with our math investigation. I enjoyed the math investigation with my partener. I looke forward to continuing the investigation tomorrow.
At snack i played basketball with Jemmius and some other people. Our team won!

On the weekend I went to the cinema with my friend. We watched Toy story 3. It was very funny and I enjoyed the movie. My favourite part of the movie was the ending where all of the toys got back to andys house. On Sunday I played netball for Mildura at Irymple. It was a round robyn so played a few teams. First we played against South Mildura. not sure what the score was but I'm pretty sure we lost. Then we played Imps. It was a very challenging game, but also very fun! The score was 9 to 3 our way. It was our first game against Imps that we have one. So the team felt very proud of ourselfs. At about 3:00pm on Sunday Dad, Tyler and I watched a movie called In Her Shoes. It was funny, but also very sad. Today in the morning we went to assembly. After assembly we did a math investigation. In the math investigation we have to plan to make a restaurant. We need to find out the menu, what we have on the menu and how much it costs. I am working with lachlan. So far it has been fun! After maths it was snack. for snack I had a brunch bar and some chips. After snack we came back into the classroom and started CSI. In CSI we worked with a partener and did some things. We where learning how to synthesize and sumarise. After that we went onto our net books and started to write in our blogs on the WIKI. After lunch we are going to do Inquiry. Im not sure what we are going to be doing, but I'm hoping it will be fun! Today we started the day with R.E in the morning. I went to value's instead. At values we finished of drawing our self on a piece of paper. After values we headed back to class, had a talk and did a bit of maths. After the hour was gone, the class and I went with Miss Shore to do SPORT! In sport we where practising Long jump and Tripple jump. I don't know which one I preffer, but I'm good at both. after sport it was snack. for snack I had a museli bar and some chocolate cake. I played basketball with Sezen, Lachy and Harlan. After snack we came back into the class and looked at a video on the board. After that we did F.A.B. I kept reading once. After F.A.B we went onto maths. In math all we did was play some board games with a partener. Then we went onto our net books and wrote some stuff on the WIKI. after lunch we will do Unit D sport. I cant wait!

Today we started the day with Art in the morning with Mr. Barker. In art we started to make a model using clay. It was pretty fun and exciting to use clay!!! After art we came back into the class and we started math. In math each group had differnet stuff to do. I had to make a poster with lots of things about division and mutiplication. We had to have things about division and multiplication on our poster. I liked my poster that I had finished! After math it was time for recess. At recess I had a cookie and chocolate cake for lunch. I played basketball with Sezen and Lachie. After recess we went back into the class and started FAB! In FAB I am reading a book called Once with Riahenna. After Fab we went onto Writing, in writing we continued on with our persuasive text. Then not long after it was lunch. At lunch I just chilled and had fun playing basketball with Harlan, Lachie and Sezen. It was Fun. Then we camee back into the class and there was only 9 students. Some had gone to choir and others had gone somewhere else. So we decided to clean the room up and tidy up the store room. Now our room is all neat and tidy. I have had a fun day.
